Back Home... What a relief!!

After those hard days back at NIT with all those class-tests and quizzes, lesser no. of films ;-) and then the End-Sem exams, it was not a happening time at all as the hostel life dropped down hugely- it was no more rocking! Well about exams.... let's not talk about it!

Now back home, its time to rest completely and my first day epitomizes "rest". I reached home at 6:15 AM- slept at about 9 Am,got up at 1:30 and after having my lunch(yes- there was custard ;-) again went back to sleep and finally got up at 6:30 in the evening- now this what I call 'resting'!

But cannot do this for the entire winter holidays- have to learn C++ as we have this in the next sem- so some work also needs to be done. Also want to do something for our Tech Fest Confluence 2K7 but any idea havent struck. Mainly interested in Softscape but still now dont have any idea how to do that... Guys(and Gals as well) out there reading this post-any suggestions? I have already registered for The Vinci Code though I have slight chances of winning coz competing against the pre-final guys in programming is really a tough thing to do.

There is also the Tech Fest of IIT Kharagpur named Kshitij(the site of Kshitij is currenlty not working) and I am thinking to join this as well. I have also registered for Tech Kriti( IIT Kanpur's Tech Fest) but dont think will be able to join that one. So its the Tech Fest season in the world of engineering colleges! Expecting a great time! Do expect more on this subject and my prepartion for that.

(Any engineering student from any part of India can register for Confluence on-line. Please so that so that the tech-fest becomes a huge hit as it was last year.)

Update- The site of Kshitij is now working. Click here.

Hi Sid!! Finally another blog from u….gr8 to know that exams are finally over in NITR and u r back in the cosy ambience of ur home..Dont get too much worried about the Tech fest n all those things..u just had a very tough sem(TOUGH becoz 1st sem is the only sem where ppl actually start preparing 4 the end-sem 2-3 weeks before the exam)later on u will find that this time period will get reduced to a night before the exam;)...maynot be valid 4 u but it will certainly be 4 lot of other ppl;)..this will be ur first exposure to the TECH FEST...in the first year take it lightly..get a feel of the things n competitions n nxt time get into it whole heartedly..Yeah do enrol for a course in C++(if u didint hav a previous exposure)..enjoy the winter hol..i on my part will be going back to my ALMA matter this december to attend my convocation..and i m mighty pleased 4 that reason...

Thanks Srikant Sir(referring our seniors as Sirs is in 'funda' list)... good to know that you were keeping a view on my blogs. Actually in our case as well the time period was 2 weeks... though it was not really overnight or nightout kind of thing literally but it was not quite different from it and that was mainly the reason that the exams were not that good this time.

Yeah, Tech Fest sounds really interesting and thus I am so much intersted in it. All the best for the Convocation... wish I would have been there!
